Words of Wisdom From the Queen of Class
Isn't she just a doll??
How can a woman be so sexy and yet so classy at the same time?
I strive each and every day to master what Miss Dita Von Teese has achieved. :)

The Million Dollar Dress
It's official folks.
Marilyn Monroe's iconic white dress from 1955 (which she struggled so gracefully to hold down over an NYC subway vent in "The Seven Year Itch") has sold in an auction for ..... WAIT for it ....
5.6 MILLION dollars.
Incredible, yes?
I can't imagine an article of clothing being worth so much money, but then again, she was one in a million.
I hope they take proper care of it!
As far as I'm concerned, that dress belongs in a museum! :)

Tu Vuò Fà L'Americano - It Started in Naples
Last weekend we sat down with a bottle of Nebbiolo and a plate of salty Italian cheese to watch Sophia Loren in
"It Started in Naples" ... I mean, what could be better on a lazy Sunday afternoon, yes?
And let me tell you, Sophia was a knock out. She still is, in fact ... but her beauty was downright ethereal in the 60's.
I must say, the movie was absolutely adorable.
Yes, it can be a tad cheesy at times, but it's a classic... and most classics tend to be a tad cheesy, agreed?
But I absolutely love the burlesque scenes where Sophia works the nightclubs on the island of Capri.
And if I ever had a son, I would hope and pray that he was as cool and little Nando, seen on the right.
Definitely worth watching.
But if you don't foresee yourself sitting down with Italian wine and cheese for a Sunday matinee any time soon, I highly recommend you watch this scene below. Talk about smokin' !!
Ciao bella! ... ;)

You Can Never Go Wrong with Bettie Page
The new job has me so swamped that I don't have any free time!! That is, any free time besides my occasional "Bettie Page Break."
Isn't she just the cutest darn thing you ever laid eyes on?
More writing to come soon, I promise ;)
In the meantime, a little more shakey-shakey for you Rockabilly lovin' fools ...

Vintage Strip Tease for Your Lazy Sunday
All I have to say is, this came WAY before anyone ever coined the term "Pop Lock n' Drop it" or "Shake it Like a Salt Shaker" :) Enjoy!

Looking for Something to do Tonight??
Interested in going to prom ... again?
Then head over to the Milk Bar in SF!!
You can actually bust out your favorite bedazzled gown, and/or tuxedo and head to the Haight Street Hop for some ROCKIN' prom action. ;)
My favorite SF DJ, OkieOran, will be spinning "All 50's - All Night" ... and Wak Shack Salon will be there creating fabulous updo's for the ladies.
I mean, why not ... right??
You might just meet your Prom King/Queen! ;)
Hope to see all you hot little Rockabilly ladies out tonight!
